American Physical Society（APS、アメリカ物理学会）は2020年2月27日、新しいオープンアクセス誌「PRX Quantum」の創刊を発表しました。

PRX Quantumは、量子情報科学および技術研究の分野において、優れた研究成果を高度に選択的に掲載するオープンアクセスジャーナルとなることを標榜しています。
ここ数年、量子情報科学と量子化可能技術の開発の分野は爆発的に拡大しており、量子コンピューティングとシミュレーション、量子通信、量子センシングの進歩は会議やジャーナルで毎週報告されています。 科学と社会の両方に影響を与える可能性は非常に大きく、材料設計、安全な暗号化、GPSを使用しないナビゲーション、生物医学イメージングなどの分野で有望視されています。

またPRX Quantumは、APSが刊行するPhysical Reviewファミリーの血統を受け継ぎ、Physical Review X（PRX）の卓越性と革新性を拡大し、純粋な応用科学から工学、技術、コンピューターサイエンス、さらにその先まで、量子情報研究を構成する多数の研究コミュニティの拠点提供を掲げています。

投稿の受付開始は2020年半ばとなる予定です。また、2020年中に受理された論文についてはAPC（論文掲載料）が免除されます。
