収録作品は権威ある書誌2つの書誌をもとに収集されました。

ライル・ライト（Lyle H. Wright）編纂 “American Fiction: A Contribution Toward a Bibliography”

18 世紀から19世紀におけるアメリカの成人向け散文作品の最も包括的な書誌として広く認識されています。本データベースでは、この書誌に掲載されている作品のほぼすべてを収録しています。
Louisa May Alcott、Harriet Beecher Stowe、Stephen Crane、Mark Twain、Henry James の他、よく知られた作家の作品の初版や入手が困難な版を収録、さらに、あまり知られていない作家の作品も収録しており、この時期の作品を包括的にみる手助けとなるでしょう。
