概要

Maimonides’ Medical Works Onlineは、スペインのユダヤ教徒のラビ、哲学者、医学者であるモーシェ・ベン＝マイモーン（1138-1204）の、現存するすべての医学書の批評版を提供することを目的として、Gerrit Bos他専門家が翻訳・編纂しました。

マイモーンはイスラーム圏スペインで生まれ、モロッコ、エジプトに渡り、アイユーブ朝の創始者サラディン付の医師となりました。彼の著作は、イスラーム教徒か否かを問わず、イスラーム世界全体で高い評価を受けました。

中世史、中東・ユダヤ史、医学・科学史を研究する上で、価値ある資料です。原文と訳文の併読を含む、オンラインならではの利便性を兼ね備えています。
